The water is crisp, clean and refreshing.

Not interested in water activities? How about some  hide and go seek in the piney woods?

Or a walk or jog around the 3/4 mile track that surrounds the lake.

Texas Wine is Texas Gold!  You could go to California for a wine tour – OR – you could drive just 1.5 hours outside of Dallas, leave your stuff at Trinity Pines and hit the Piney Woods Wine Trail right here in East Texas.   We were excited when we found three wineries in the area – imagine how we felt when we discovered there are 17!  My liver just did a little dance – I swear it did!

Take a peek at the map right down there — Trinity Pines is just 1/4  inch to the left of the Savannah Winery in Canton, Texas so in just one day, you could visit Savannah Winery, Texas Roads Winery, Tara Winery, KE Cellars, Red 55 Winery and Dixie Wine!

Ok, you - that’s enough for one day – don’t get crazy!  See you soon!

Quick, while you’re still sober – join Trinity Pines email list and you’ll instantly receive your Free Vacation Planning Tool!
(Click the map below to find all the links you need for the Piney Woods Wine Trail!)

The Bluebonnets are back just in time for the family fun and festive APRIL IN EDOM old fashioned street fair in Edom, Texas.

Come join us in the charming downtown area of our tiny east Texas town on Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22 from 10-5.  Check out the schedule of events here.

Bring your dancing feet to jam to the music. Find some treasures to take home from the variety of vendors each offering quality and fun hand-crafted items. Watch a real-deal blacksmith and a glass blower doing demonstrations. Eat lots of oh-so-yummy fair-type food including hot dogs, turkey legs, fried Twinkies and sno-cones.

Always a favorite event, the Pet Parade, starts at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. It’s so fun to watch the pets and their owners do tricks, and show off to the crowds. There are even prizes given for pet/owner look-alikes, tricks, and best of show. Last year, a chicken won the event!

A live auction also gets underway Saturday afternoon. And don’t forget the opening parade with the school bands and cheerleaders on Sat. morning at 10 AM!

A children’s play area, complete with pony rides, a choo-choo train and a bounce house, ensures that everyone in the family has a fun-filled adventure.

Motorcycles and fire trucks join in the fun and a classic car show spices up Saturday night.

Some of the local artist studios, the antique shop and our famous “The Shed Cafe” featuring “the best chicken fried steak in Texas” will be open during the fair.

Come share the fun with us at “April in Edom” Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22.

Edom is located at the intersection of FM 279 and Hwy 314, halfway between Canton and Tyler. Hours are 10 to 5 on Saturday and Sunday, April 16 and 17.

If you get there early enough, you can even get on Trinity Pines Bed and Breakfast Proprieter Mary Ellen’s dance card!    She’s waiting!   Come say hello at Trinity Pines Conference Center. We’re only .07 miles from downtown Edom! And, join us on the Trinity Pines Bed and Breakfast Facebook Fan Page.

A beautiful white bridge across the lake at Trinity Pines in Edom Texas - perfect Texas film location

Why shouldn’t the place you stay during a family vacation be as memorable as the fun experiences you create during your travels? Next to the all important decision of where your next trip will take you, the place you and your family will lay your heads is probably the most important decision to make. Do you choose a hotel or another type of dwelling?

# 5: Comfortable & Cozy: It f eels like a home away from home or like your staying at a friends home.

#4: Refreshing: You walk out of your room and inhale fresh country air instead of musty hallway dingy air.

#3: Private: You know the people on the other side of the walls from you IF your their with other people at all since your staying in your own private cottage.

#2: Memorable: Do you remember the hotel rooms you stayed in last year? Your stay at Trinity Pines BnB will be a unique experience your family will cherish, not just a place to lay your heads.

And the NUMBER ONE reason to choose a bed and breakfast style vacation:

Aaahhh, the sunset outside your cottage!
